William Richardson (bishop)
William Moore Richardson (1844 – 6 March 1915) was the Anglican Bishop of Zanzibar〔The Times, Tuesday 9 March 1915; pg. 11; Issue 40797; col E ''Obituary Bishop Richardson''〕 from 1895〔“Who was Who” 1897–1990 London, A & C Black, 1991 ISBN 071363457X〕 until 1901.
He was born in 1844,educated at Rossall School and Merton College, Oxford and ordained in 1869.〔"The Clergy List, Clerical Guide and Ecclesiastical Directory" London, John Phillips, 1900〕 He held incumbencies at Wolvercote and Ponteland〔(Ponteland St Mary )〕 before his elevation to the Episcopate. On his return from Africa he was Warden of the Community of St Thomas the Martyr in Oxford until his retirement in 1910. He died on 6 March 1915.〔(Guild of all souls )〕
